We loved Stonetrough Barn. It was cosy but not cramped, comfortable, well decorated, had a fantastic welcome basket and lovely fresh flower arrangement. It was in a quiet, peaceful location. Mrs Ropner was friendly and available but not intrusive. (M Went - Mar 2015)
I loved the stunning views from all the windows and the chance to see so much wildlife. The house is beautifully furnished and very spacious, while at the same time being very warm and cosy in winter. and because of the quiet location it is the perfect place to relax and unwind. The quiet of the countryside, the friendliness of our hostess and her secretary, the proximity to beautiful villages to visit, the easiness to shop for our commodities. We loved the gift basket on arrival, we did not have to go food shopping right away. Everything was as described in the internet ad. Just great. This holiday home was wonderful. There were so many little extras like the flowers, the welcome basket of goodies and all the useful things like cling film, soap, dishwasher tablets and so many other things provided. We wanted a peaceful holiday, this cottage was the perfect place to accomplish this. It sits on the brow of a hill the views from the lounge windows are stunning, even on a grey winter day. The photographs on the internet of this property do not do it justice. We have booked with various companies and stayed all over the country, this is by far the best one we have stayed in.
